UI Foundation, university receive ADDY Awards

The American Advertising Federation of Cedar Rapids-Iowa City has given ADDY Awards to the University of Iowa and UI Foundation for marketing and communication projects.

The awards recognize creative excellence in advertising and promotional materials. Winners were announced at the annual ADDY Awards Gala Feb. 25 in Cedar Rapids.

IMU Marketing and Design was recognized with a Judges Choice Award and a Gold Award for “Iowa Snowflake,” a holiday greeting from the Office of the President.

Project staff included Bret Gothe, Sarah Lenger, Dan Sweeney, Dustin Quam, and Sophia Lou.

The College of Public Health also claimed a Gold Award for Insight magazine. Project staff included Dan McMillan, Debra Venzke, Patti O’Neill, Karla Hurley, Mitch Overton, Bill Barker, Hannah Fletcher, and Esther Baker.

University Communication and Marketing (UCM) photographers Bill Adams and Tim Schoon each won Silver Awards for photos.
