Alumni Association, S.T.A.T. host Senior Send-Off Week April 18-22

The University of Iowa Alumni Association (UIAA) and S.T.A.T. (Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow) are hosting Senior Send-Off Week, Sunday, April 18, to Thursday, April 22, a week full of opportunities to gather and celebrate together one last time before officially becoming UI alumni.

Senior Send-Off Week begins on Sunday, April 18, with a late night breakfast from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) River Room. The breakfast features a selection of French toast, eggs, sausage and orange juice.

Iowa Team Trivia will be 7-8 p.m. Monday, April 19, in the IMU Main Lounge. Trivia includes questions about UI buildings, Hawkeye sports, Iowa City life and much more. Teams of five or six can register at the door for a chance to win prizes.

Students looking for advice for after graduation can attend the Senior Seminar: The Facts of Life … After Graduation, 6:45-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, in the Illinois Room of the IMU. Through three half-hour seminars, students will learn about financial planning, preparing for interviews and transitioning into the work place.

Seniors wanting to combine business with their golf game can practice their swing and improve their golf etiquette from golf experts, 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, in Hubbard Park. Along with practicing their skills, students may enjoy free hot dogs and burgers and can enter a drawing for a free round of golf at Finkbine Golf Course.

RiverFEAST takes place 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 22 in downtown Iowa City as part of the RiverFest celebration, UI seniors will receive five free food tickets from the UIAA to sample food from participating restaurants.

Senior Send-Off Week concludes 8 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at the Share Restaurant in downtown Iowa City's Sheraton Hotel with a Last Lecture from Frank Durham, associate professor in the UI School of Journalism and Mass Communication. The first 50 seniors to arrive will receive a free gift.
