Osher Institute offers golf swing instruction July 29

Learn about the mechanics of what goes into a good golf swing. "Anatomy of a Golf Swing" will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at Finkbine Golf Course.

The program is part of the "Wednesday Night at the Lab" series offered by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the UI.

Instructor Jim Dickerson will review the grip, posture, ball alignment and motion necessary to enhance one's game. The fee is $20 for Osher Institute members and $35 for non-members.

Old Capitol Museum closed Aug. 4-14; Museum of Natural History open

The University of Iowa's Old Capitol Museum will close for approximately two weeks beginning Tuesday, Aug. 4, for routine maintenance. The museum will reopen to the public Saturday, Aug. 15.

The UI Museum of Natural History will maintain regular public hours for the remainder of the summer.

Regular Pentacrest Museum hours are: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
