Volunteer Services at UI Hospitals and Clinics awards scholarships

Sixteen high school graduates who volunteered more than 100 hours at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics have received scholarships from Volunteer Services in recognition of their outstanding commitment to service.

Scholarship amounts are based on total hours of volunteer contributions and are funded by volunteer earnings from Wild Rose Gifts, the Fourth Floor Salon, Rooftop Café and hospitality carts.

In addition, Qiong Qiu is this year's recipient of the Guy L. Harris Memorial Scholarship, which recognizes the student volunteer accumulating the most hours of volunteer service. This special scholarship is made possible from contributions in memory of lifetime volunteer Guy Harris.
