Women's Resource and Action Center holds annual spaghetti dinner Oct. 3
The Women's Resource and Action Center at the University of Iowa will hold its annual fund-raising spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at the Zion Lutheran Church, 310 N. Johnson St. in Iowa City. The dinner, sponsored by ZIO Johno's Spaghetti House, includes spaghetti with vegetarian sauce, bread, salad and dessert. Included with a dinner ticket is a chance to enter into the event's door prize drawing supported by donations from local businesses. Returning this year are silent auction packages on which patrons can bid.
ZIO Johno's financial sponsorship is a boost toward the $6,000 fundraising goal, according to WRAC Director Monique DiCarlo. The dinner helps fund the center's services such as support groups, counseling, activist training programs and educational workshops.
Tickets are available for advance purchase at the center, located at 130 N. Madison Street and at the door.
