Latham to hold roundtable at UI College of Nursing March 25

The University of Iowa College of Nursing will host Iowa Congressman Tom Latham at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in Room 22 of the Nursing Building for the first of Latham's five nursing roundtable discussions.

The forum will feature comments from Rita Frantz, dean of the College of Nursing; Heidi Nobiling, senior assistant director, of nursing administration at UI Hospitals and Clinics; and Cathy Abrams, vice president of nursing at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

UI College of Nursing faculty and students are invited to take part, as well as representatives of local clinical agencies.

Latham, U.S. representative for Iowa's Fourth Congressional District, has scheduled the roundtable discussions at various sites around the state to gather insight and comments from a broad contingency of Iowa's nursing community on how to best address a growing nursing crisis. He expects the discussions to inform his efforts to direct the national debate on the nursing crisis from Iowa's unique perspective.
