Dallas Center native graduates UI Radiologic Technology Program

Jaimee Johnson of Dallas Center graduated from the Program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City on May 20.

The nine-month educational program, which is an advanced post Radiologic Technology Education program, accepts four students each year.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is an advanced technology that uses strong magnetic fields and radiowaves to generate detailed images of targeted parts of the human anatomy. MRI technologists work in various health care settings, from health-care clinics, mobile clinics, and major trauma centers to equipment sales and applications. UI Hospitals and Clinics first offered magnetic resonance imaging training in 1988.
