UI Family Care Southeast Iowa City to add ob-gyn service
Beginning next week, patients will be able to receive obstetrical and gynecologic care at UI Family Care - Southeast Iowa City, located at 1130 Scott Blvd.
Gregory Skopec, M.D., will see patients every Wednesday afternoon beginning July 23. He specializes in performing minimally invasive surgery.
Paula Everleigh, a certified nurse-midwife who is nationally certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives, will see patients Thursday afternoons beginning July 24.
Merida Miller, M.D., provides care across the full spectrum of women's health. She will see patients Tuesday mornings starting July 29.

UI physician chosen for national research training program
A University of Iowa Health Care physician is among 20 hematology and hematology/oncology fellows and junior faculty to enter a unique, yearlong education and mentoring program sponsored by the American Society of Hematology Clinical Research Training Institute.
Lori Rosenstein, M.D., a fellow with University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, will attend a weeklong workshop that focuses on the fundamentals of research. She also can work on her clinical research project with support from expert faculty.
The program is offered to fellows and junior faculty at academic medical centers in the United States and Canada.
