Advisory: College of Public Health dean candidate forum is Jan. 7

WHAT: The first candidate for the position of dean of the University of Iowa College of Public Health will be on campus for meetings with faculty, staff, students and community members. As part of this visit, the candidate will participate in an hour-long public forum. The candidate has been asked to speak for 15-20 minutes, and the remainder of the forum will be devoted to questions from the audience.

WHO: Thomas M. Becker, M.D., Ph.D., professor and chairman of the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at the Oregon Health & Science University and interim director of the Center for Biostatistics, Computing and Informatics in Biology and Medicine.

WHEN: 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7

WHERE: Urmila Sahai Seminar Room 2117 of the Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF) on the UI health sciences campus. (Directions: From the Newton Road Parking Ramp, cross Newton Road and enter MERF through the northwest door. Room 2117 is on the second floor.)
