Tost poetry collection 'Complex Sleep' available Oct. 1 from UI Press

"Complex Sleep," the second collection by American poet Tony Tost, will become available from the University of Iowa Press Oct. 1.

Novelist Laura Moriarty ("The Center of Everything") wrote, "He hypnotizes you with his tricks but then convinces you to concentrate on how good the work is. You wake up feeling refreshed and thinking how excellent it is to enjoy reading poetry this much!"

Tost, a graduate student at Duke University, edits the online poetry journal Fascicle. His first book, "Invisible Bride," won the 2003 Walt Whitman Award. His poems have appeared in literary journals including Hambone, No: a journal of the arts, Mandorla, Typo, Fence, Talisman and ILVNG.

He is a graduate of Green River Community College in Auburn, Wash., and the College of the Ozarks in Pt. Lookout, Mo., and he received a Master of Fine Arts from University of Arkansas.
