UI Presidential Search Committee Agrees To On-Campus Visits

NOTE: David Johnsen, chair of the University of Iowa Presidential Search Committee, issued the following statement today.

At today's Presidential Search Committee meeting, the Committee unanimously agreed to schedule on-campus visits for the candidates before forwarding final nominations to the Board of Regents. The Committee is very enthusiastic about the candidates it has interviewed to this point, and it continues to discuss those candidates.

The Committee will work with candidates, the Regents, and the greater UI community to make the final interview process as expeditious as possible, with those interviews likely taking place over a very few days. Working with the University community, we will structure interviews to allow representative UI groups and individuals to meet candidates and provide feedback to the Committee prior to our final report to the Regents.

We look forward to a successful conclusion of the search, and we will keep you informed as we determine the dates and specific structure of the on-campus interviews. Thank you for your continued interest and support.
