STAR 102.5 Radiothon Supports UI Children's Hospital
Des Moines radio station STAR 102.5 will broadcast the ninth annual Ken and Colleen's Kids Radiothon May 23-25 to benefit patients and their families of University of Iowa Children's Hospital in Iowa City.
The special event will originate live from the atrium lobby on the first level of UI Hospitals and Clinics, the state's only comprehensive academic medical center. The STAR 102.5 morning team will share the stories of patients, parents and staff at UI Children's Hospital.
"We look forward to this program with great anticipation," said Bill Wells, STAR 102.5 vice president and general manager. "It is always very gratifying to be able to work together for such a tremendous cause."
Colleen Kelly, STAR 102.5 morning host, will help lead the radiothon team. "This event affects all of us on a deeply personal level, and I know all of us are extremely committed to doing whatever we can for these families," she said."
