UI College of Nursing To Host Alzheimer's Author April 3

The University of Iowa College of Nursing and the college's Hartford Center for Geriatric Nursing Excellence will host Richard Taylor, Ph.D., author of "Alzheimer's From the Inside Out," on Tuesday, April 3.

Taylor will give a lecture at 3 p.m. in the Heritage Room (Room 133) of the UI Nursing Building. A lecture and book signing will be offered later that day from 7 to 9 p.m. at the North Ridge Pavilion, 1506 Eighth St. in Coralville. Both events are free and open to the public.

Taylor, 63, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at age 58. As a former psychology professor and clinical psychologist, Taylor wrote a series of essays as a way to cope.
