Christensen Completes University Of Iowa Advanced Radiology Program

Michele Christensen, whose family lives in Yankton, has graduated from the Quality Management/Picture Archival and Communication Systems (QM/PACS) Administration Program at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She also was recently certified in Quality Management by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Christensen completed the six-month QM/PACS Administration program on Feb. 23. Quality management plays an important role in the operational management of the radiology department; picture archival and communication systems manage the digital environment and services of the radiology department.

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists promotes high standards of patient care by recognizing individuals qualified in diagnostic medical imaging, interventional procedures and radiation therapy. Headquartered in St. Paul, Minn., the ARRT tests, certifies and annually registers more than 235,000 radiologic technologists across the United States.
