'Head Case' Author To Appear On Big Brain

Dennis Cass, author of "Head Case: How I Almost Lost My Mind Trying To Understand My Brain," will be the guest on the next edition of "Big Brain" on Iowa Public Radio at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 8.

Big Brain can be heard on WSUI 910 AM in eastern Iowa. Listeners are welcome to email their Big Brain questions about music in advance to theexchange@iowapublicradio.org.

Cass, a freelance writer from Minneapolis, has always wondered what makes him tick. In "Head Case," through investigative journalism, humor, scientific research, and sociological digging, he unlocks the mysteries of the human brain, infiltrating the world of neuroscience and offering his own brain up to research experiments such as brain mapping, sleep labs, magnetic imaging, and pharmaceutical advances. His exploits reveal the intricacies of addiction, memory, adult attention deficit disorder and more.

"Big Brain," radio in search of life's little questions, is broadcast each month from the Iowa City Public Library.
