UI Presidential Announcement Expected Thursday; UITV To Broadcast, Webcast

The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, is expected to select the next president of the University of Iowa when it meets at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 21 in the UI's Iowa Memorial Union. Immediately after the meeting, the new president is expected to be introduced to the UI community in the IMU's Richey Ballroom. The event is open to the public.

UI Television (UITV) will broadcast the announcement live on its Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, cable stations as well as provide streaming video live via the Internet at mms://winmedia.uiowa.edu/events [Note: This link will not be active before the announcement.]

Additionally, UITV will rebroadcast the video on its cable channels at 7 and 9 p.m. Thursday, and will make the video available online by 7 p.m. Thursday at mms://winmedia.uiowa.edu/president/2007president.wmv.
