Iowa City native Anna Laube will perform live as part of the Iowa Public Radio performance series "Java Blend," at noon Friday, Aug. 3 at the Java House, 211 E. Washington St. in downtown Iowa City.
The public is invited to be part of the live audience for the hour-long show, which originates from the University of Iowa's radio station WSUI-AM 910.
Raised in Iowa City and Madison, Wis., Laube is described as "an outstanding singer with a sultry, soulful sound in the Norah Jones mold," says Americana UK magazine. Laube's debut CD, "Outta My Head" on Ginkgo Records, is a combination of living room and studio recordings.
