Golfing Fore Cancer Event Will Benefit Patients

The Third Annual Golfing Fore Cancer Tournament on Friday, Aug. 10, at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course in Solon, Iowa, will once again help support patients and their families receiving care at Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa.

The four-person, best-shot event will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The fee for a team is $440, or $110 for each individual. Prizes will be awarded during a steak dinner following the tournament.

All of the proceeds will be used to provide care and comfort to patients receiving treatments at Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. For information about reservations, donations or sponsorship opportunities, contact Mike Diers at 319-330-4341 or mediers@aol.com.

Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center is Iowa's only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center.
