Health Iowa Offers Students 'Passport' To Healthy Lifestyle

Health Iowa/Student Health Service at the University of Iowa is offering a new online program to help UI students stay active and improve eating habits.

The six-week program, Passport: Round-Trip to Health, takes students on a virtual trip around the globe. Participants "visit" a different part of the world every week and a new country every day, learning about different cultures as they work toward meeting specific physical activity and nutrition goals.

The program is open to all UI students. Individuals who register will receive a one-day fitness pass from UI Recreational Services and will be entered into a weekly prize drawing for water bottles, pedometers, cookbooks and T-shirts. Students who complete the program will receive one free music download from iTunes and a chance to win fitness and travel prizes such as a stability ball, heart rate monitor, backpack and gift certificates.

"Passport" begins Jan. 29. More information and online registration is available at www.uistudenthealth.com/passport/ or contact Amy Fletcher at 319-335-8213 or amy-fletcher@uiowa.edu.
