O'Kane Makes UI's President's, Dean's Lists

Jeanie M. O'Kane of Urbandale earned a place on the University of Iowa's president's and dean's lists for the fall 2006 semester. She is enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and is majoring in leisure studies.

O'Kane also made the UI dean's list in May 2005, December 2005 and May 2006.

The president's list was established in the fall of 1983 to recognize academic excellence. In order to be included on the list, a student must have a minimum 4.0 grade point average (4.0 is an A) in all academic subjects for the preceding two semesters, with a total of at least 12 semester hours of credit per semester during that period.

All students named to the dean's list carried at least 12 graded hours during the semester. A minimum 3.5 grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale) for current work is required for inclusion on the dean's list in the colleges of liberal arts, nursing, business administration and engineering.
