University Of Iowa Student From North Oaks Honored

Erica Savage of North Oaks, Minn., was honored at the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology annual student awards ceremony April 17.

Savage, a second-year student in the UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, received the W. R. Ingram Award for Superior Achievement in Medical Neuroscience. Ingram was head of anatomy at the UI from 1940-1966 and was considered a pioneer in anatomical and functional research of the hypothalamus and thalamus.
