Jim Stichter, a guidance counselor at Northern University High School in Cedar Falls, recently completed his term on the University of Iowa's Office of Admissions' High School Counselor Advisory Board.

Stichter were one of 15 high school counselors on the board, which was formed in 1991 to advise the UI Office of Admissions on various issues related to the college admissions process. The board meets on the UI campus twice a year, in April and September. Board members serve for three years.

"Jim's work on the board these past three years has been extremely effective in helping us make the admissions process easier for students," said Kathy Bassett, senior associate director of Admissions. "We'd like to thank him for his long service and help."
