Patients' Library To Celebrate 75th Anniversary

The staff of the Patients' Library at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City will observe the 75th anniversary of the founding of the library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the solarium on the eighth level of the John Colloton Pavilion.

"We are inviting everyone to join us in celebrating 75 years of service to the patients of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and to the citizens of Iowa," said Mindwell Egeland, director of the Patients' Library.

A brief program will begin at 11:15 a.m. Organizers will serve refreshments. Attendees can use elevator "F" to access the event.

In addition, the Patients' Library will sponsor a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the atrium on the first level of the John Pappajohn Pavilion near Elevator "I."
