STAR 102.5, Affinity Credit Union To Collect Coins For Kids

STAR 102.5 FM and Affinity Credit Union in Des Moines will kick off their "Ken and Colleen Coins for Kids" fundraising project to benefit Children's Miracle Network at Children's Hospital of Iowa within University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City on Thursday, April 12.

Ken and Colleen of STAR 102.5 will dedicate their morning program to recruiting listeners to collect change from their co-workers, friends, family and neighbors for the upcoming STAR 102.5 Radiothon May 23-25 to benefit patients and their families at Children's Hospital of Iowa.

Affinity Credit Union is sponsoring the "Coins for Kids" effort and is a longstanding supporter of Children's Miracle Network. A special "Coins For Kids Collection Party" is scheduled for May 19 at Affinity Credit Union, where listeners can turn in their change and enjoy some food and fun.

"This will be our ninth annual Radiothon to benefit Children's Hospital of Iowa," said Bill Wells, general manager of STAR 102.5. "I know that we can count on our listeners to make it biggest and best one yet."

Children's Miracle Network also includes 75 corporate sponsors, 200 television stations and more than 135 radio stations.
