Financial Times Ranks Tippie Executive MBA Among World's Best

The University of Iowa's Tippie Executive MBA Program has been ranked as one of the world's best by Financial Times newspaper.

The program was ranked 64th in the world by the British financial newspaper in its survey of global Executive MBA programs this year, tied with Vanderbilt University. Among U.S. schools, the UI program ranked 32nd, and among Big Ten schools, it was ranked sixth.

"There are more than 300 Executive MBA programs in the world, so we are pleased and proud to be ranked among such prestigious company," said John Fraser, director of the Tippie Executive MBA program. "This is a testament to our many alumni who are satisfied with the education they received through the Tippie MBA program, and with so many of our corporate clients, who continue to use our program to educate their future leaders."

The Executive MBA program, offered at the UI's Pomerantz Career Center, is a 21-month program of advanced studies in management and strategy. The curriculum is designed for individuals who are currently working in some management or supervisory capacity. Numerous eastern Iowa corporations sponsor their employees as students in the program, including Rockwell Collins, HNI and Deere & Co.

Financial Times ranks the top 85 Executive MBA programs each year based on statistical analysis in numerous categories, as well as surveys of graduates three years after they receive their degrees. The newspaper most recently ranked the Tippie Executive MBA at number 69 in 2004. This year's top ranking went to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
