A nationally recognized nursing researcher at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics will receive the Distinguished Service Award from her alma mater on Saturday, Oct. 7, in Cedar Rapids.

Mount Mercy College will honor Alburnett, Iowa native Marita G. Titler serves as director of Research, Quality and Outcomes Management in the Department of Nursing Services and Patient Care at UI Hospitals and Clinics. She is also a clinical professor at the UI College of Nursing.
