Lecture To Examine Business Opportunities With Native Tribes

Joseph Falkson, co-founder and senior managing director of Native American Capital, LP, will discuss business and entrepreneurial opportunities with Native American tribes when he speaks at the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business Thursday, Nov. 30.

Falkson's lecture, "Native American Capital: New Partnerships in Academic Entrepreneurship," begins at 4 p.m. in room S401 Pappajohn Business Administration Building. Admission is free but registration is required. Registration can be completed online at http://www.iowajpec.org or by calling 319-335-1022.

In his lecture, Falkson will discuss opportunities and challenges for strategic partnering and investing with the 600 federally recognized American Indian Tribes and Alaska Native Villages, as well as the unique and untapped resource represented by centers of academic excellence seeking innovative ways to develop their intellectual property and pursue new venues for entrepreneurship.
