UI To Hold Public Forums For New Campus Master Plan
The University of Iowa will hold two public forums Thursday, May 25, to discuss the recently released 2006 campus master plan. The principles and information within this plan will help shape how the campus develops in the future.
Joe Hibbard of Sasaki Associates, Inc. will make two presentations on the master plan and address questions from the public at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the Senate Chamber of the Old Capitol. Hibbard helped develop the plan. Hibbard and Sasaki are nationally known for their campus planning work at major and peer universities.
The 2006 UI plan, titled "The Campus, the Buildings, and the Space Between," was developed under the guidance of the 11-member UI Campus Planning Committee, and UI Facilities Management. During the past two years, faculty, students, staff, deans, department chairs, unit directors, administrators, UI Hospitals and clinics planners, and Iowa City and Coralville city planners contributed information and ideas to develop the framework for guiding future preservation and development of the campus.

Individuals with special needs are encouraged to attend all UI events and may contact Wendy Moorehead at 319-335-1246 to make accommodations.
