Minnesota Appeals Court Judge To Deliver UI Law Commencement Address

Kevin Ross, a former Iowa City police officer and University of Iowa law graduate who was recently appointed as a judge on the Minnesota Court of Appeals, will deliver the commencement address to the UI College of Law's Class of 2006.

Ross, 42, was appointed to the Court of Appeals by Gov. Tim Pawlenty and sworn in this past February. He was an Iowa City police officer from 1987 to 1992, when he left the force to attend law school at the UI. Following his graduation from law school in 1994, he held two judicial clerkships before joining a Minneapolis law firm in 1997. 

The UI law school commencement will be held Saturday, May 13 at 1 p.m. in Hancher Auditorium.
