Psychology Professor To Give Free Talk On Marriage March 9
Erika Lawrence, assistant professor of psychology in the University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, will deliver a free, public talk on marriage from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Cottage Bakery and Café, 14 S. Linn St.
Lawrence, whose talk is titled, "Why Some Marriages Succeed and Others Fail," also serves as director of the UI Center for Marital and Family Studies.
The talk is presented by Café Scientifique of Iowa City, a public forum for exploring and debating the latest ideas in science, mathematics, medicine and technology. All sessions are free and open to the public. The group is an international public outreach effort by scientists who are committed to promoting public engagement with science and making science accountable.
