Major Grant Renewal For Iowa Cochlear Implant Clinical Research Center
WHAT: Announcement of major funding award for the Iowa Cochlear Implant Clinical Research Center at the University of Iowa
WHO: Bruce J. Gantz, M.D., the Brian F. McCabe Distinguished Chair, UI professor and head of otolaryngology - head and neck surgery, and director of the Iowa Cochlear Implant Clinical Research Center.
WHEN: 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 7.

The Iowa Cochlear Implant Clinical Research Center (ICICRC) at the University of Iowa is nationally and internationally recognized as a premier center for cochlear implant clinical research.
Media representatives are invited to attend this media opportunity where Center Director Bruce Gantz, M.D., will announce a major grant renewal for ICICRC and highlight the innovative research projects and technological developments that are supported by this grant.
Gantz and several of his colleagues will be available to answer questions and to discuss the latest research developments and patient care advances in cochlear implant technology. A cochlear implant recipient, who was implanted with the newest generation of the device - commonly known as the "hybrid" cochlear implant -- also will be available to speak with reporters.
