SBDC Sponsors QuickBooks Introductory Workshop
The University of Iowa Small Business Development Center is sponsoring an introductory workshop to QuickBooks accounting software for small business owners.
The workshop will be held Monday, Aug. 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room C231 of the Pappajohn Business Building at the corner of Jefferson and Clinton streets in Iowa City. Registration fee is $89. To register, contact the SBDC at 319-335-3742 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The workshop is a basic introduction course for new QuickBooks users, demonstrating not only how QuickBooks works but providing an in-depth understanding of the accounting theory behind each transaction a business owner makes. Topics covered include: Introduction to QuickBooks; Basics of Setting up QuickBooks; Creating a "Company"; Working with Lists; Using Other Accounts; Working with Bank Accounts.
The Iowa SBDC is a partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
