Student Video Productions Spring Season To Premiere

The University of Iowa Student Video Productions' spring season television line-up will premiere Sunday, Feb. 12, at 8 p.m. on UITV with seven new programs.

Student produced television shows will include Iowa Desk and Couch, a late-night style comedy talk show with guest Dave Atell; and a rock opera titled "The Dinner Party of Destiny." Other shows include:

--Iowa City Shorts, featuring short films by local filmmakers.

--Caution, an animated series.

--Everyday, a melodrama following a girl through college.

--KRUI-TV, featuring alternative music videos.

--Dinosaurs Have Feathers, a news magazine about Iowa City.

Student Video Productions is a student group recognized by the UI producing a variety of television programs for broadcast on UITV. Shows air at 8 p.m. on Sundays on Channel 4 in university residence halls and Channel 17 elsewhere. Students involved in SVP participate as cast members, crewmembers on current shows or assist in the development of new shows.
