Hancher Box Office Offers Gift Certificates For Holiday Giving
The Hancher Auditorium box office at the University of Iowa is prepared for the holiday season with gift certificates and tickets for the lovers of music, theater and dance. The Hancher box office will remain open through Friday, Dec. 22.
Hancher gift certificates -- available in $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100 denominations -- may be redeemed during the next year for tickets to any of the UI-sponsored performances handled by the Hancher box office.
This includes not only the internationally renowned music, theater and dance artists presented by the auditorium, but also all the Mainstage productions of University Theatres, productions of the Iowa Summer Rep professional company, UI Symphony Signature Series concerts, major productions of UI Martha-Ellen Tye Opera Theater, the UI Dance Company's annual Dance Gala and the band department's annual blast, the UI Band Extravaganza.
Gift certificates may be purchased in person at the box office or by phone. Hancher Auditorium box office business hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. From the local calling area, dial 319-335-1160. Long distance is toll-free, 1-800-HANCHER. Fax to 319-353-2284.
People with special needs for access, seating and auxiliary services should dial 319-335-1158, which is equipped with TDD for people with hearing impairment who use that technology.
The box office will be closed during the UI winter break, Dec. 23 through Jan. 16, but tickets may be ordered on-line 24 hours a day, seven days a week through Hancher's website: http://www.hancher.uiowa.edu
