S.T.A.T. Ambassadors Host 10 Make-A-Wish Kids For Iowa Football Game

Ten children in the Make-A-Wish program from eastern Iowa will enjoy an exciting UI football weekend on Saturday, Sept. 2, as part of the University of Iowa Alumni Association's (UIAA) Students Today Alumni Tomorrow (S.T.A.T.) Ambassadors' Game Day at the Iowa vs. Montana football game.

The day will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. with a traditional tailgate at the UI Field House, North Gym. The children and their families will have the chance to play games with Herky and meet members of the cheerleading squad.  After the game, members of the UI football team and coaching staff will visit with the Make-A-Wish children and sign autographs. 

The UIAA S.T.A.T. Ambassadors and University of Iowa Sports Marketing are working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to organize this 12th annual event. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing activities for terminally and severely ill children and their families.
