Exhibit Will Highlight Public Health Milestones
An exhibit celebrating major public health accomplishments over the past 100 years will be on display Aug. 22-24 in the atrium of the Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF), which is located on Newton Drive on the University of Iowa campus. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Hosted by the UI College of Public Health, the exhibit "Milestones in Public Health" highlights 11 key discoveries, solutions and innovations in public health over the last century. Topics include vaccines, maternal and child health, infectious disease control and cardiovascular disease, among others.
The traveling exhibit is sponsored by the Association of Schools of Public Health and Pfizer. It will be displayed at schools of public health and other partnering organizations throughout the year.
