Five Times August To Perform Tornado Benefit Concert April 27
Five Times August, the stage name for Austin, Texas-based Brad Skistimas, will perform a benefit concert for tornado victims at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 27 in the Wheelroom of the University of Iowa's Iowa Memorial Union.
The concert is being sponsored by SCOPE Productions and Campus Activities Board (CAB), and admission is free. However, donations will be accepted for the UI Student Disaster Relief Fund.
Skistimas launched Five Times August in 2001, and has been writing and performing as "the band" since then. Closing in on his fourth year with the project, Skistimas has turned Five Times August into a widely popular independent music act for today’s college market, selling over 9,000 CDs across the United States. The latest album, "Fry Street," features five songs used on MTV’s reality show, "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County." Visit Five Times August Website at http://www.fivetimesaugust.com/
