Physical Therapy Graduate Carpenter Honored
A recent graduate of the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science Graduate Program in the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine received an honor from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Gail Carpenter was selected by the APTA as a recipient of the Mary McMillan Scholarship. The competitive award recognizes superior scholastic performance, past productivity, evidence of potential contribution to physical therapy and service to the APTA. The scholarship acknowledges outstanding physical therapy students who must be nominated by their school and in their final year of study.
Carpenter received her doctorate in physical therapy in December 2005. She will be recognized at the 2006 APTA Annual Conference in June in Orlando.
The APTA is a national professional organization representing more than 66,000 members. Its goal is to foster advancements in physical therapy practice, research and education.
