Author, Commentator Tammy Bruce To Speak At UI

Tammy Bruce, author, Fox television news commentator, openly gay, pro-choice, gun owning, pro-death penalty, voted-for-President Bush progressive feminist, will speak at the University of Iowa on Monday, Sept. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union. Admission to her lecture is free and open to the public.

Bruce is the author of the book "The New American Revolution: Using the Power of the Individual to Save Our Nation from Extremists," that will be released in November. Her two previous books include "The New Thought Police" and "The Death of Right and Wrong: Exposing the Left's Assault on our Culture and Values."

Bruce also hosts a daily talk radio show, "The Tammy Bruce Show," heard on 153 affiliates across the country. Her editorials and commentaries have been published in numerous magazines and newspapers, and she served on California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's transition team.

Bruce has also been a national board member of the National Organization for Women and was the president of NOW's Los Angeles chapter, where she doubled the chapter's membership in her six years as leader.
