NPMA Continues 2004-05 Series With Fund-Raising Seminar
The Nonprofit Management Academy will present the next monthly seminar in its 2004-05 series, "Fund-Raising Methods and Strategies," from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 19 at the Coral Ridge Mall Community Room, 1451 Coral Ridge Ave., Coralville.
The seminar will explore agency planning for fund-raising. Topics will include: setting realistic expectations, ideas on corporate gifts, building an agency's donor base, sponsorships, individual memberships, direct-mail campaigns, special events and planned giving. Participants will learn how to examine and detail strategies for meeting their organizations' fund-raising goals.
The trainer for the session is Monique DiCarlo, director of the University of Iowa's Women's Resource & Action Center.
The fee for the seminar is $50, and CEU credits are available; participants may enroll in individual courses or a program leading to a Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
The Nonprofit Management Academy is a joint project sponsored by the Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) and the Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center at The University of Iowa, Iowa State University Extension, United Way of Johnson County, Iowa Shares, and the Iowa Women's Foundation.
