Story Telling To Commemorate ADA Anniversary
Local residents will be able to share their success stories associated with the Americans with Disabilities Act at a ceremony marking the 15th anniversary of the ADA on Saturday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Iowa City Public Library.
ADA Story Telling invites anyone to share and celebrate the stories of how the ADA, other disability laws, or an individual's own independent spirit enriched their lives and the lives of their community. Admission is free and open to the public.
Numerous other activities commemorating the ADA's anniversary will also be held at the library that morning. The events are sponsored by the Conner Center for Independent Living.
