RVAP To Begin Volunteer Training Session Feb. 7
The Rape Victim Advocacy Program (RVAP) is inviting the Johnson, Cedar, Iowa and Washington county communities to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of sexual assault survivors. A training session for volunteers is scheduled to begin Feb. 7.
RVAP volunteers provide peer counseling and victim advocacy on the local rape crisis line and statewide Iowa Sexual Abuse Hotline, as well as in person at the hospital or at the police station. All volunteers must first complete extensive training.
Interested volunteers may call or e-mail the volunteer coordinator at 319-335-6001, or email@example.com.
