UI Librarians Present Conservation Workshops

The University of Iowa Libraries is offering three seminars to help people preserve such family documents as photographs and papers. All are free and open to the public.

"Preserving Family Treasures" will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, at 10 a.m. at the Coralville Public Library Auditorium. Preservation librarian Nancy Kraft will be a guest of the Nathaniel Fellows chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

"When in Doubt, Don't Throw it Out" will be held Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Iowa City Senior Center. University Archivist David McCartney will discuss what to do with family documents.

"So I Saved It, Now What?" will be held Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Iowa City Senior Center. Preservation librarian Nancy Kraft will share how to preserve those family documents.
