NMA Continues Series With Financial Management Seminar
The Nonprofit Management Academy (NMA) announces the seventh monthly seminar in its year-long series for 2004-05. "Financial Management" will be presented on Thursday, Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Coral Ridge Mall Community Room, 1451 Coral Ridge Avenue, Coralville.
This seminar will focus on budget planning and projections, accounting and record-keeping, management reporting, audits and accountability, and working with boards on financial matters.
The trainer for the session is Tiffani Shaw, chief financial officer and treasurer, University of Iowa Foundation.
The fee for the seminar is $50, and CEU credits are available; participants may enroll in individual courses or a program leading to a Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
The Nonprofit Management Academy is a joint project sponsored by the Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) and the Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center at The University of Iowa, Iowa State University Extension, United Way of Johnson County, Iowa Shares, and the Iowa Women's Foundation.
