Tippie Sets December Graduation Ceremonies
The Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa will celebrate winter commencement ceremonies for undergraduate students at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, at Hancher Auditorium. The Tippie School of Management Commencement Celebration is at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, at the Amos Dean Ballroom in the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel.
A total of 175 undergraduate students are candidates for bachelor of business administration degrees. Clark Johnson, former chairman and chief executive officer of Pier One Imports, Inc., will deliver the commencement keynote. Brook Hinchman, a finance major from Iowa City, will deliver the student message.
Lola Lopes, associate provost for undergraduate education at UI, will confer the degrees at the undergraduate ceremony. Gary Fethke, dean of the Tippie College of Business, will preside over the ceremony.
The ceremony will be Web cast on the Tippie Web site at http://www.biz.uiowa.edu/webcasts/commencement.
The School of Management Commencement Celebration will honor 96 graduates from the MBA-PM and full-time MBA programs. The School of Management ceremony is open by invitation only.
