Vasquez Becomes President Of University Support Organization

Lee Vasquez, assistant administrative services director of the University Bookstore and Hawk Shop, is the new president of the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS). He will serve as president for a one-year term.

NACAS is the largest non-profit association for support services in higher education. It is comprised of nearly 1,000 colleges and universities across North America, Great Britain, Ireland, Australia and parts of Asia.

"I am honored by the privilege to serve as the organization's president," said Vasquez. "I will make the most of this opportunity because I value this association and take seriously my obligations and responsibilities to move it forward."

Vasquez was installed at the association's national conference in San Antonio. He had previously served one term as vice president and one term as president elect of the association, in addition to holding numerous regional and national leadership roles.
