Alliant Energy CEO To Speak Oct. 29 At UI
Erroll Davis, chairman and chief executive officer of Alliant Energy, will speak from 9 to 10 a.m. Oct. 29 in the MidAmerican Energy Colloquium, Room W401 of the Pappajohn Business Building on the University of Iowa campus.
The event, presented by the Tippie School of Management Leadership Association, is open to the public. In addition to leadership, Davis will talk about how he reached his position at Alliant Energy, the struggles he faced along the way and how he overcame them.
Davis has been at Alliant since 1998, previously serving as president and chief executive officer of WPL Holdings, Inc. and Wisconsin Power & Light from 1990 to 1998. In its July 22, 2002 issue, Fortune magazine recognized Davis as one of the most powerful black executives in America.
He received an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago in 1967 and earned a BS in electrical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1965. He is on the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago advisory board, is chairman of the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Mellon University, and a member of several boards and institutes representing the energy industry.
