Communications Specialist To Hold Seminar At UI Hospitals And Clinics

Nationally known communicator Kare Anderson will bring her dynamic seminar, "Beyond Charisma: Becoming an Opportunity Maker with Others" to the East Room at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics on Thursday, Nov. 4.

Anderson, an Emmy-winning, former NBC commentator and Wall Street Journal reporter, will appear as a guest of the Iowa Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC/Iowa). Registration for the seminar is required.

A trailblazer in media, business and politics, Anderson publishes the international "Say It Better" E-Zine. She has authored several books, including "Getting What You Want" (published in 19 languages), "Resolving Conflict Sooner," "Walk Your Talk: Grow Your Business Faster Through Successful Cross-Promotional Partnerships," and "Beauty Inside Out."

She is a frequent strategic communication coach to leaders in business and government.

"From scientists to salespeople, Kare appeals to anyone looking for insights on how to be a better communicator and happier and higher performing with others," said Michele Waber of IABC. "She teaches ways to attract unlikely allies, to be a more valued asset, to improve the ability to sell and manage, and to diffuse conflict and manage difficult people."

The three-hour seminar, which begins at 9 a.m. Nov. 4, will include a continental breakfast and lunch. Early bird registration by Oct. 18 is $125. After Oct. 18, registration is $135. The special college student registration fee is $40.
