UI Libraries Offers Second Historical Research Seminar
The University of Iowa Libraries will offer the second of three fall semester seminars on conducting historical research on Friday, Oct. 8 at 2:30 p.m. in the Information Arcade on the first floor of the UI Main Library.
The seminar, "Electronic Resources for Historical Research," is free and open to all researchers. It will offer an overview of electronic resources with an emphasis on Web-accessible full-text primary sources. While there is no charge to attend, registration is required. The final seminar, "Historical Collections in the Iowa City Area," will be Nov. 12 at 2:30 in the second floor conference room in the Main Library. The seminar will introduce the wealth of materials available at the University of Iowa Libraries, the State Historical Society of Iowa in Iowa City and the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library in West Branch.
