Rock Island High School Students Visit UI Campus
The University of Iowa's Opportunity at Iowa program hosted a group of 25 Rock Island High School students on campus May 3.
The students, in grades nine through 12, attended presentations by the UI Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and Special Support Services and received critical information about admissions requirements, education financing and the many student services available to them to ensure their academic success.
In addition to the presentations, students toured the UI campus and had a chance to interact with university students during a panel session. They also attended special presentations at the Henry B. Tippie College of Business and the College of Engineering.
Part of the Office of the Provost, Opportunity at Iowa is a coordinated university-wide effort to create and maintain campus diversity and to provide opportunities for all university students interested in other cultures. Working collaboratively with such offices as Admissions, Orientation, Equal Opportunity and Diversity, Student Financial Aid, the Graduate College and Support Service Programs, Opportunity at Iowa provides information about various academic resources available to enhance a student's collegiate experience while attending the UI.
Opportunity at Iowa is located at 224 Jessup Hall at the University of Iowa
